Japan’s pride, Nao Yoshioka soars once more on new single “Let It Flow”, the lead single of her upcoming album.
“Let It Flow” is an uplifting slice of neo soul / R&B that is produced by New York’s Musicman Ty, known for his work with Alicia Keys and Snoop Dogg. As a protégé of Swizz Beatz, he has also crafted hits for Nao Yoshioka, such as “I Love When” and “Got Me”, achieving success on the U.S. Billboard charts.
This track is themed around love and freedom, using constellations and waves as metaphors in the lyrics to beautifully depict harmony with nature. The hook “Love is a constant flow” symbolizes eternal love riding on calm waves, conveying a message of positivity and liberation. The rhythmic and pleasant melody offers hope to those who have overcome the pandemic, encouraging a life with new values.
In 2023, Japanese R&B/Soul singer Nao Yoshioka once again showcased her talent on the global music scene. Recently, she filled the iconic UK venue London Jazz Cafe and successfully performed at Asia’s largest Java Jazz Fest, leaving her mark in both the West and Asia, creating an unparalleled career for a Japanese female singer. In Europe, she signed with ATC Live, home to many cutting-edge artists, following her performance at Jazz Cafe.
Nao Yoshioka has also collaborated with Maria Matias in the USA, home to long-time supporter Gregory Porter, propelling her post-COVID activities both domestically and internationally. Early in 2023, she began working on her much-anticipated album, of which “Let It Flow” is the lead single. Yoshioka’s album is set to feature collaborations with several edgy, up-and-coming artists who are active globally. As she prepares for the album release and world tour, the world can’ t take its eyes off her.
