What they say…

“Regardless if you’re an old school break boy or a new school drum fanatic, cop the drop!”

DJ Skeme Richards (Rock Steady Crew)

Since 2015 Essex-based DJ, producer and musician Andy Anderson has been mixing a kaleidoscopic selection of styles including funk, hip hop, disco and electronic music under the artist name Danced Til Midnight.

Danced Til Midnight channels a diverse set of influences towards the unifying goal of landing “on the one”, as Bootsy Collins would describe it. His collaborations range across the musical spectrum, including hip hop beatsmith Tall Black Guy, deep disco purveyors The Revenge and Faze Action, west coast hip hop doyenne Egyptian Lover, renowned double bassist Danny Thompson, The Killer Horns paired with drummer Jack Baker (both of whom have been part of Bonobo and Alice Russell‘s touring bands) as well as house music visionaries Karizma, Byron The Aquarius and Kenny Summit.

Self-releasing on his label Thylacine Sounds, Andy has steadily put out a number of EPs and singles, starting with 2015’s “Sun Bleach” and following on with “More Of Love” in 2016, “She Can’t Love You” in 2017 and “Real Love” in 2020.

Recently Danced Til Midnight has teamed up with a variety of talents, such as New York MC Nosaj from rap group New Kingdom on recent 45Low Slung“, and singer Carmelle Cox on digital singles People Get Up and “Soon Enough”. All of these tracks see Stingray Davies, known for his work with Speedometer, playing Hammond organ. With such a constant output of quality music, it’s sure Danced Til Midnight will be a name you’ll hear more of!
