German multi-instrumentalist YORK drops first taste of new album

German saxophonist, flutist composer and producer YORK releases new single and video “Feel The Groove” featuring the vocals of singer Selena Evans over the warm analog sounds of his band. The danceable early 70s groove comes complete with DJ scratches and powerful horns, and showcases YORK‘s funkier side, after having wowed with the soul-jazz vibes of his debut solo album The SoulJazz Experience Vol.1 released in 2021.

YORK has appeared in over 100 CD publications and has collaborated with, among others, Phil Collins, Randy Crawford, Inner Cycle, Quincy Jones, Towa Tei, Ziggy Marley, and many many more.

“Feel The Groove” is the first single taken from YORK’s upcoming new solo album The Vintage Funk Vol.1 dropping on April 8th 2022 on Upper Level Records.
