Cinematic funk in second single ‘Glamourpuss’ by Claudio Corona
London-based Italian keyboardist and producer Claudio Corona releases new single “Glamourpuss” featuring multi-instrumentalist and producer Alan Evans, best known as being the co-founder and drummer of US soul funk legends Soulive.
“Glamourpuss” is an exquisite in-the-pocket groove that transports the listener to a place sitting somewhere between late 70s funk vibes and cinematic groove ambiances. Evans’ drumming and a pumping bass line set up a relentless funky force. Claudio’s addition of monophonic synths, on top of his fleet of vintage keys, brings echoes of Stevie Wonder’s sound while guitar motifs and rhythms take the tune into a cinematic groove journey.
“Glamourpuss” is the second single lifted from Claudio Corona’s upcoming album Imagination Unlimited to be released in May 2024. The single is written, arranged and mixed by Corona in his Retrofonica studio.
