Rising UK soul star MT Jones releases new single ‘Made Up Your Mind’

Kicking off the new year with a bang, new Liverpudlian kid on the block MT Jones releases his new single “Made Up Your Mind”, a classic, powerful example of his songwriting skills, showcasing his distinctive vocals while carrying a relatable and inevitable story of heartache.

He says: “Its a song about losing someone, and that desperation of knowing it’s never gonna quite be the same again. I wanted to try to capture the emptiness of that limbo phase you often find yourself in when a situation that once meant so much, changes”

The single is supported by the following live dates, with more to be announced soon:

FEBRUARY 2024
8th – Blue Note, Milan Italy
21st – Yes Basement, Manchester
25th – Cavern club, Liverpool
29th – Slaughtered Lamb, London

MT Jones gathers inspiration from 60s and 70s soul greats to modern R&B and jazz, evoking a sound that is both contemporary and timeless. His deeply soulful & distinctive vocals transport you straight back to a smoke-filled speak easy whilst bringing a sound that feels fresh and innovative.

He has received strong support from BBC Introducing with multiple spins across the network, a feature as a ‘Step up’ artist on 1Xtra as well as being taken under the wings of BBC Merseyside. MT has performed at various festivals including Cambridge Folk Festival & Secret Garden Party and is scheduled to perform at showcase events The Great Escape & SXSW in 2024, setting up the year ahead in a strong position as one of the UKs most exciting new offerings.

Having gained support on several New Music Friday playlists already, Jones has been collaborating with some of the UKs finest creatives including Eg White (Adele), Jonathan Quarmby (Lewis Capaldi) & Paul O Duffy (Amy Winehouse) on finalising tracks for his first EP, due to be announced in early Spring 2024.

“Made Up Your Mind” out digitally on January 11th 2024 as a self-release
