Gary Beals is a Canadian soul / r&b singer with magnetic charisma and a powerful voice, an artist who engages his audience effortlessly, exudes confidence and radiates joy.

Driven by a profound dedication to soulful music and inspired by the greats who paved the way before him—such as Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, and Al Green — Gary‘s musical journey began two decades ago when he, a small-town kid, stormed onto the scene in 2010 as the runner up in the first season of TV talent show “Canadian Idol”. This experience ignited a transformative period of self-reflection and self-discovery for Gary, propelling him toward personal growth.

Fast forward through three albums and twenty years, and we encounter a refined, clear-headed, and determined Gary Beals — returning with an amplified passion, ready to unveil his fourth studio album in the Fall of 2023.

His previous works debuted in the top 10 of the Canadian sales chart and garnered widespread critical acclaim, leading to a Juno nomination for “Best R&B / Soul Recording,” an East Coast Music Award, seven African Nova Scotia Music Awards, as well as nominations for an Urban Music Award and a Canadian Radio Music Award. The Premier of his home province of Nova Scotia even proclaimed November 22 as Gary Beals Day.

In June of 2023, Beals released single “Good People, Good Vibes” which marked the beginning of his new musical collection and is expected to have an even greater impact than his previous endeavors. “Good People, Good Vibes” has already received recognition from numerous Spotify and Apple playlists, including Soul Coffee, R&B Fresh Finds, Butter, New in R&B, and Brown Sugar, just to name a few. Second single “All Of Me” was released in July and garnered the support of Craig Charles on his famous “Funk & Soul Show” on BBC 6.

The upcoming album follows the aftermath of his previous record, Bleed My Truth, from 2020, and promises a more expressive and vibrant rendition of Gary Beals. His ultimate aim is to consistently deliver inspiring, thought-provoking, joyous, and timeless music that resonates with listeners on a deep level. With Gary’s return, he is poised to make a positive impact on the ever-expanding global soul community.
