New single and video ‘Glaze’ by Aussie ensemble Kerbside Collection

Australian ‘down-under’ dusty jazz-funk and rare groove ensemble Kerbside Collection return with brand new single “Glaze”, the first track lifted from their upcoming fourth studio album Round The Corner, scheduled for February 2022 and written and constructed during the last 12-18 months of the cv-19 climate. Along with some of the stories and sentiments based around this time, there’s also the distinctive attributes of their slightly rusty, sunny, golden, Australian coastal grooves.

The crunchy, gritty, analog, rhythm section sits underneath a cruisy 70s style Stevie Wonder-ish groove, set up by an interesting duo of clavinet organ and bass clarinet, alongside silky flute, Fender Rhodes, and jazzy guitar flourishes, sprinkled with lush cinematic strings and percussion. “Glaze” conjures up some of the sun-drenched qualities of down-under, taking you away to the South Pacific with some of its slightly nostalgic qualities, for fans of classic 4hero, and vintage Mizzell Brothers cinematic funk moments. Lush and laidback.

“Glaze” out on Digital download on November 26th via Légère Recordings
