Infectious new single ‘PlayaFool’ by US funk band Shakewell

Shakewell, a six-piece funk band from Missoula, Montana, has released their newest single “PlayaFool” produced and engineered by Alan Evans (Soulive, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe) at his studio Iron Wax Studios in Ervin, MA. Written by Shakewell bassist/vocalist, Jordan Smith, “PlayaFool” is a Mayer Hawthorne-esque soul bop with a slight lean towards the vintage vibe. With tasty horn lines and smooth vocals, “PlayaFool” will surely have you spinnin’ it on repeat!

Shakewell is a funk brotherhood of lifelong friends and collaborators, all hailing from Western Montana. With a shared love for groove and songwriting, Shakewell constitutes an original blend of funk, soul, and rock n’ roll. Collectively, they have shared the stage with acts such as Snarky Puppy, Galactic, The New Mastersounds, Thievery Corporation, Orgone, Dumstaphunk, The Wailers, and more. Shakewell is on a mission to broaden their fan base, leaving no dancefloor unshaken.
