‘Feed Lala’ teases upcoming sophomore album by Berlin-based Feed LA

With members from famed German funk outfit Poets of Rhythm and future jazz group Faruk Green, Berlin-based free pop collective Feed LA can be considered a true thoroughbred, and this is once more made clear from the opening notes of “Feed Lala”, the first single lifted from their upcoming new album More Feed, scheduled to drop in July 2025.

If the title “Feed Lala” sounds familiar, it’s because yes – this is the b-side of the 2022 double-sider 45 “Cihangir” / “Feed Lala”, but now getting its day in the sun on glorious full length! For some reason “Feed Lala” is that heavy hitting funk track that ignited a rich 12-minute musical whack-em-all, morphing seamlessly into what would become album tracks “Fast Cash – Up in Stratosphere” and “Even Higher”.

It starts out with Jeff Özdemir laying a vicious bass line over Daniel Ray Gahn’s signature drumming. Özgür Bayraktar on keys and Michael Treetop Voss on flugelhorn leave center stage to the two rhythm giants, adding a pinch of flavor and melodic story telling. When listening back, Daniel Ray just couldn’t resist beefing up the bass with some extra fuzz, adding that final touch.

More Feed will be Feed LA’s sophomore album following their self-titled 2023 debut and will be available on vinyl, cd and digitally on July 18th 2025.
