Video ‘Tantalus’ teases upcoming album by The New Mastersounds

Veteran jazz-funk four-piece The New Mastersounds are teasing their upcoming 12th studio album “Renewable Energy” slotted for release on April 13th with a video accompanying album track “Tantalus”. And it’s a tantalizing treat indeed, with footage of the band grooving live in the studio,  joined on congas by NMS friend Sam Bell, who appears on most of the full-length.

Swirling piano, irresistible percussion and effortless guitar grooves characterize this uptempo number of jazz-funk-latin-soul. The tightly-wound rhythm of “Tantalus” works up to an intense crescendo similar in frenzy to what is sure to be the state of NMS fans now that the next album by these jazz-funk heroes has been announced. Luckily the wait won’t be long, it’s about time the world was ready for “Renewable Energy”.

“Renewable Energy” out April 13th on CD LP / Digital via One Note Records
