It’s a sunny afternoon in late summer 2025. Carsten Meyer, aka Erobique, is in his Hamburg studio with Arnim Teutoburg-Weiss (frontman of the German band Beatsteaks) when Ada Teutoburg-Weiss (Pampa Records) drops by. They chat, listen to music, sing, make music, etc. – and before they know it, they’ve recorded the single “Verstehen” together.
Three months later, it’s time to share it with the world: contemporary modern soul meets four to the floor disco with a message that’s hard to argue with – everything is spontaneous and very welcome.
