Sarife and Angels Of Libra release latin soul ballad ‘Una Última Vez’

Following her participation in Angels Of Libra’s recent album Road To Mandalay, Hamburg-based songstress Sarife teams us with the band once more on new single “Una Última Vez”, where she brings to life her Spanish roots and the memories of a great love she cannot let go of. The track is the second single from her upcoming album Ghosts from the Past, which will be released on June 5th, 2026.

Accompanied by gentle rhythms and dreamy acoustic guitar, Sarife reflects on romantic moments from a past relationship. She clings to the hope of not being disappointed this time, even though deep down she knows it will happen again. Each time, she tells herself: “This is the last time—una última vez—that I give myself to this love and this person”. But the inextinguishable spark of hope remains.

The softly swaying sound of “Una Última Vez” gently envelops listeners and transports them to the nighttime Playa de Bahía. With sand beneath your feet and the starry sky above the sea, you dance to the sound of the waves. The warm night breeze still carries the heat of the day and tastes of bittersweet memories—of a love that was given one last chance, again and again. The subtly driving drums and percussion blend Strife’s Spanish roots with the catchy beats of neo-soul. Piano, synth, acoustic guitar, and Spanish guitar are used with restraint, making them all the more expressive and leaving space to drift along with the song’s sensual vibe.

Vocally, Sarife reveals her soft and delicate side in “Una Última Vez”, which nevertheless gets straight under the skin and perfectly captures the feeling of longing for an unrequited love. The interplay between backing vocals and lead vocals feels like a dialogue. The song was produced by Dennis Rux of Yeah Yeah Yeah Studios, who succeeded in creating an authentic vintage vibe. “Una Última Vez” was written with Nathan Johnston, Dennis Rux, and Chris Haertel of the Angels of Libra during a session at the Transmission Rooms in Ireland. In a deeply rural setting in a foreign country, Sarife also reconnected with her own familial roots in Spain, which are an important part of who she is. It therefore felt natural to shoot the music video in her parents’ new home: Mazarrón, near Alicante—bringing together her passion and her heritage. The collaboration with the soul collective Angels of Libra has now been ongoing for almost three years. Sarife first joined them as a backing vocalist in the summer of 2023 and, a year later, became a lead singer alongside Nathan Johnston.

“Una Última Vez” is a beautiful fusion of the musical aesthetics of Angels of Libra and Sarifea sensually bittersweet ballad in which all involved showcase their gentler side.
