New single ‘Freedom’ is Peyoti For President’s revolutionary anthem

Peyoti For President‘s new single “Freedom” is surely the summer sound of 2025, an anthemic song for festivals in Europe and around the globe!
2025, unsurprisingly, is a year of social unrest and human rights issues. It’s a year of global protests, the likes of which we haven’t seen since the social movements of 1969 and the Vietnam War—albeit much of the protesting now takes place on social media platforms like TikTok, etc. Democracy, liberty, and freedom stand center stage.
“Freedom” is the final single before Peyoti for President‘s new album Your Comfort Zone drops on July 4th — American Independence Day.
Like all the songs on the forthcoming album, “Freedom” was initially conceived on a beach in Oaxaca, Mexico, roughly three years ago. It has shaped up to be arguably the most dynamic, fun, and lyrically poignant track of all.
Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, and a reference to Bob Marley’s “One Love” can all be heard in this track—but what’s most noticeable is the feel-good factor. The groove! Heavily infuenced by the cumbia of Mexico and Colombia, that groove is unmistakable. The trademark horn section is big and bold, the lyrics are loud and proud, and the primal scream for freedom that opens the track is iconic in itself!
