Kat Eaton teases upcoming third album with new single ‘Break Free’
Welsh born, Yorkshire-based soul/jazz artist Kat Eaton reveals her brand new single “Break Free”, the first single from Kat’s upcoming third studio album What Happens Now, due out in March 2026 on her own label Reason & Rhyme. The track is a soulful rnb number with strong bluesy undertones and an expansive hook that takes it slightly into soulful rock territory.
“Break Free is about finally letting go of control and letting the current take you to where you need to go. When self-preservation ends up feeling more like self-denial that’s the moment we need to accept our circumstances and break the cycle”, comments Kat on the track.
Kat has established herself as one of the hardest working and talented performers in her field. Having already toured the UK/EU supporting the likes of Gregory Porter, Jools Holland, Paul Carrack, The Teskey Brothers, Marc Broussard and Mamas Gun, alongside selling out multiple headline shows in the UK and EU (Ronnie Scotts in London, Unterfhart Jazz Club in Munich, Jazz Club Etoile in Paris and Jassmine in Warsaw among others), she’s also co-written with the likes of Caro Emerald, Ruby Turner and Roberta Campos, and broken through to new territories via national radio play-listing in The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and Italy.
“Break Free” out Digitally on September 19th 2025 via Reason & Rhyme
