Peyoti For President returns with “Your Comfort Zone Will Kill You”, a bold and hypnotic single that blends Latin American cumbia, Afro-Lusophone textures, and poetic urgency. As the (almost) title track of the upcoming album Your Comfort Zone (out July 4, 2025), this latest release captures the spirit of movement, change, and fearless living.
Written in Oaxaca, Mexico, after a chance encounter with a graffitied wall, the song channels a raw, honest energy—pushing back against apathy and routine. Anchored by a vibrant charango and a melodic Portuguese accordina (melodica) played by virtuoso João Palma, the track eschews guitars for something more organic, percussive, and rooted in tradition.
Frontman Peyoti, a true world citizen with roots in the UK, Italy, Cuba, and Iberia, infuses the song with both personal depth and universal resonance. The signature horn section adds a bold layer of brass-driven urgency, paving the way for a full album that promises to challenge comfort zones and inspire movement—both physical and spiritual.
