Angels of Libra & Nathan Johnston team up again on ‘I Fell In Love’
If you heard rumors about an upcoming album by Hamburg’s divine messengers of retro soul Angels Of Libra, then you heard right! And for the first single they enlist the vocals of trusted collaborator Nathan Johnston and bang out straight-up northern soul gold!
“I Fell In Love” was cooked up in a vintage Hamburg kitchen near the Reeperbahn, fuelled by copious cups of Italian coffee sipped while listening to old tube radio sounds. In this setting guitarist and producer Dennis Rux and singer Nathan Johnston were channeling Beatles vibes into soul music until the perfect hook just clicked. The song wrote itself from there – a groovy love song with heart, soul, and just the right amount of cheese.
