Video ‘Road To Earth’ by The Mighty Mocambos feat. Peter Thomas
In anticipation of the worldwide release of their third studio album “Showdown”, Hamburg funk kings The Mighty Mocambos have just launched a little video accompanying track “Road to Earth” which features renowned German film composer Peter Thomas on piano and arrangements. As the first song of the album, this instrumental tune sets the mood for the entire full-length, which is set to be another milestone in the band’s prolific career.
“Showdown” sees The Mighty Mocambos confidently doing what they do best: bringing the raw, unaldulterated funk! The album also features a number of guests, from hip hop royalty Afrika Bambaataa, Charlie Funk, Donald D and Zulu Nation MCs, to Nashville soul singer DeRobert (from DeRobert & The Half-Truths), musicians Guillaume Metenier and Shawn Lee and young soulstress Nichola Richards. Probably their best output yet!
